This alloy is one of the most commonly used casting aluminium alloys. It has good resistance to cold working, welding and heat treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AlSi9Cu3(Fe) is a family of aluminium alloys. It is one of the most commonly used casting alloys in many industries, particularly as it possesses good machinability and ductility, together with corrosion resistance to several conditions that might affect other aluminium casting alloys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AlSi9Cu is a fairly tolerant alloy which forms an intermetallic with aluminium that has good corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alsi9Cu3(Fe) is a complex alloy with a dense, mainly gamma-prime body.
